Little Miss Pioneer Makes a Comeback

After a twenty year break the 2008 Aurora Colony Days committee is bringing back Little Miss Pioneer. Little Miss Pioneer is a program intended to provide Aurora girls age 9-12 with an opportunity to represent the city at area events including parades, fairs, and local community functions. The program is intended to help the participants build self-confidence and poise in a positive and comfortable environment. During the ceremony, participants will be asked a question, from a previously provided list of questions, and based on their responses a queen and two princesses will be selected. The court will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of three former Little Miss Pioneer Queens;  Dana Sahlin, Amy Gianella and Niki Umbenhower the first-ever Little Miss Pioneer in 1978.
